Stormy Blue

Gratz is a large, open, lacy pattern comprised of emerald, chartreuse and neutral beige.

Stormy grey, peacock blue, navy, and cobalt pool together in this very large scale design. This design has an “a” and a “b” which must alternate around the room for proper pattern match. Sunny yellow and deep ochre flow on an almond colored ground, giving this paper a distinctly mid century vibe. The effect of the design looks a bit like a butterfly wing. 

In traditional marbling, an uncombed drip pattern like this is called a “stone” pattern. The pale greens and blues with sandy spots inspired the title.
